8:55pm

wow, everyone has been im'ing me and messaging me saying that they're jealous that i went to the concert. if i had KNOWN that at least half of them were interested, i would been like, "well, come on down to party!" sorry guys =/

so now, i'm still left paying $160 for two seats (one i did not sit in and one where we stored our bags and jackets.) you must think that i'm crazy, but really, i'm not. i know i could have made easy money trying to sell it, but that means i would have had to put my bag on the colliseum floor....ew.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas. I sure did. I was spoiled by my special someone and money from the parents. Twas oh-so-nice. I went to go see P.S. I Love You. I never cried so much in my life during a movie. Go see it for a good laugh and cry.

But onto the better part....

I had wanted to go to this concert since I heard the Jonas Brothers were a part of it. Yes, that's right: the Best of Both Worlds tour. Both Hannah AND Miley. (that will always bother me, but I don't want to rant so much about her in this blog) The tickets went on sale on my 18th birthday, but I was out and about with my special someone, so I didn't get it.

Then yesterday came. I woke up early (@ 12, lol) to go online and see if ticket master's will call had any good tickets left. Unfortunately, there were no seats when I first logged in at 12. Then two hours later, the BEST seats opened up. I called up my friend and begged her to go but since all of that running around occured, I lost the seats. I was thoroughly disappointed. I kept trying for the next hour and then fabulous fate opened her wings and BAM! I clicked on the button and there they were: beautiful floor seats, row 32 from the stage. I jumped on it, securing three tickets for myself and friends. In the end, only two of us went.

I arrived at the colliseum to see a crowd in front of the Miley World bus. We got our tickets and took picures next to the Miley World balloon. Good times. We got inside and found our beautiful seats. After five minutes of sitting down, MILEY CYRUS walks by with someone. She's not waving or saying hello to fans. I said to myself, "She loooks so familiar---THAT'S HANNAH!" But of course, her real name isn't Hannah, its Miley. I didn't bother to scream out the wrong name, so we let her walk by. We weren't there for her anyway, lol.

Then, as I was on the phone with a friend from Arizona, Garbo and Jack (Jonas' bassist and drummer) turn the corner and come down our aisle. I couldn't let them slip away, so I yelled out Garbo's name. Unfortunately, I did not scream Jack's name, so he kept on walking by. I let Garbo talk to my friend from Arizona, then snagged a picture with him. Gorgeous, huh?

The concert was pretty much amazing. The Miley/Jonas and crew had some deserved rest for the holidays and came back reenergized. Of the many of the night, my favorite part was when Joe poked Miley with the mic stand. Oh, Joseph. lol.

While we waited next to the tourbuses after the show, CJ & Derek from Push Play came out and we got some autographs and pictures. Those kids are super friendly. We wanted to meet those Jonas Boys but it was 35 degrees
and we were not dressed for the weather, so we bounced. Later I heard that they didn't even come out of their tourbus at all, so I'm glad I didnt stick around.

Yesterday was pretty much fate-filled. Freakkiiin fate, how you protect us. Sending all my love to you.

nostalgia is bittersweet.

i spent last night rereading all my past xanga entries (both xanga's) and realized that i had a 'blurty' from way back in 2003. does anyone have a blurty? does anyone know what a blurty is? haha. i kept blushing at the things i put up and i cannot believe some of the things i wrote. there would be pointless entries and other entries that are just so dramatic, i didn't even want to finish reading it. but now that i think about it....2003?! can you believe that was 4 years ago?! soon to be 5 years ago! oh how the years pass by so quickly, now that i think about it.

i must admit that reading back on those entries made me smile. i've matured, but there are definitely things that i've held onto. such as obsessions. my obsessions back in 2003 were tom felton, harry potter, and keeping the dream street pride alive (KTDSPA!), among other things. now, i am happy to say i've dropped the tom felton obsession. he was cute, got ugly, and now he's slowly working his way back up to cute again, lol.now, harry potter, wow, i cannot believe all the books are done now. i don't think i could've even fathomed the end of harry potter back in 2003. and dream street? man, you know i've found those boys' myspaces and facebooks? i'm happy that they're happy where they are right now. all of them went to college, except for chris and jesse, i believe. jesse got really big in the summer of 2003 releasing his CD and being on summerland. he's been away since then, but supposedly is coming back with a new album in 2008.

nostalgia is very bittersweet. in the xanga entries, i read how i reacted to my aunt's diagnosis of breast cancer and how we've been helping her cope. since then, my aunt passed away from the cancer and my mom just finished her chemotherapy from cancer in june. she was diagnosed last october. looking at the 'problems' i had when i was younger makes me chuckle and shake my head because if i had told my 13-year-old self what was going to happen in the future, i would have grown up a lot quicker. which is why i would never choose to know about my future. i'd rather live each day being in the moment than to know what lady fate has planned out for me.

so in conclusion. . .
don't hurry life up. the reason why it feels like the days drag is because it's protecting you from what the future holds.

the first ramble.

so i stumbled across this sucker not too long ago and i've been meaning to post my first rantORramble.

i'm currently sitting on the couch in my cold living room, on the amazing laptop the university has given me (note: i say this with sarcasm), and my fat puppy is cuddled up next to me, snoring. i've just looked at the clock and it's exactly 12:00pm on the dot. it is exactly a week before christmas and i've only bought 3 people their presents. yes, it's really horrible. i have also yet to send out christmas cards, so i'm thoroughly sorry if they are late. it's the thought that counts right?

i just finished my first term of college and let me tell you, it's not all its cracked up to be.it seems this term flew by because all i've done is go to class, go to work inbetween (oh the perks of on-campus jobs), then come home to papers and nonsense. i became closer with people i wasn't close to before and lost touch with plenty others. not complaining, really, i haven't tried either, but it's interesting to experience.

with new friends, comes new obsessions. although i'd like to name them now, i'll probably have entries just on them, so i'll keep you under the sheets for the time being. you will probably laugh, but i won't care. it's what's been keeping me from going insane these past few months. ah, those lovely obsessions.

i just glanced at the clock again and it's exactly 12:15pm. oh how lady fate toys with me. the puppy just woke up and is barking at the mailman. till next ramble.
