NEW YEAR, NEW YOU, NEW ME!

Happy New Year blog (30 days after the fact, but it's all good)! I've been a very busy bee. I went to Mexico for Christmas break and was spoiled rotten: snorkeling, poolside reading, afternoon walks on the beach, and eating with the locals (TACOS, TACOS, TACOS). Soon after Mexico I came back to the blistery Nueva York and got extremely sick.

After that? School. Yup, winter classes. But it was all good because I took a sociology course and aced it. Now I'm 2 weeks into my spring semester. Oh yeah, got a new internship with B&CMagazine. I'm getting the experience I need in a very comfortable environment.

Of the many little things I've done since I lost truly blogged, I went to Top of the Rock (aka Rockefeller Center). I'd gone when I was a kid but went again with some friends from AZ and my dearest, Anj. If there was a moment where you knew you were in love, it was the second I was hit with the panoramic view of Manhattan. I've always been in love with my city, I'm so proud of my city, but that just affirmed it.

Some goals I'd like to accomplish this year?
-Work on getting that part-time job because my savings are going down the drain.
-Get my license. For real. I've been spoiled with having buses and subways to my leisure.
-GET THE STA WORLD TRAVELER INTERNSHIP. This is the biggest goal of the year. I've begun my application and video and I am going to be extremely confident and say I'm going to get this (crossing fingers, wishing on stars) Please, if you read this blog, go to my page and VOTE FOR ME when my video goes up.

Sorry this is such a rushed blog, I know my entries lately have been few and far between. But this is a new resolution: blog 3 times a month like I did when I was traveling.

Yup, traveling always seems to put me in the blogging mood.
Hope you're good blogger, you've been my best companion thru all these hopes and aspirations of me.

i suck.

i suck at blogging nowadays. i attempted to begin blogging regularly again but really all i'd be talking about is my journey at IDJ & i don't want to spill all their secrets to my public online blog.

also, this blog reminds me so much of everything thats happened over the past few years and i miss so much of the things i did. i miss the places i've been. i miss the people i've met.

i'm aching for europe. i need to go back as soon as humanely possible. i miss having a paying job. yes, i always complained but it sucks to be THIS broke. i'm always too tired to truly hang out & have a fun day. whenever i have a day to breathe, i spend it catching up on rest so my body doesn't give up on me.

in extremely good news, i'll have 6 blissful days in mexico for Christmas break with all my family. i'm looking forward to traveling again. i know i'm going to be a giddy schoolgirl when i sit in my seat in the airplane. it'll be more than 6 months since i've been on a plane. i'm excited right now!

i'm also in the middle of applying to a gabillion magazine internships. i've heard back from 1 & am going in for an interview next week. it's definitely scary that i applied to more than 15 internships and have only heard back from 1 but i'll take what i can get.

i love the christmas season. everyone's just plain ol' merrier.

this entry turned into an a.d.d. rant. sorry.

PS. i'll be changing the link title very soon. goodbye of an era, lenelilove.

ball-sack.

so, i'll give it to Target for giving tourists and cheapo college kids like me Free admission on Friday nights. but waiting in line was ridiculous. i didn't even have to wait this long in line at the fuckin LOUVRE!

but after that, we zipped through the museum (i'll go back and experience it all correctly another day) before it closed.

one of the most heartwarming pieces was the replica (bcuz i believe the original is the one i saw in paris) of Rodin's Balsac. Yes, you reads it right. Rodin's Balsac.

I miss art history in Paris!
